April Fools on the Web

Every year, some normally serious sites put some decidedly non-serious stuff on their home page for April Fools. Usually, these are the sites that have a sense of humor to begin with. Many sites take themselves too seriously to enjoy April Fools.

So far, I've found these sites. If you see more April Fools 2000 jokes going on, send me a pointer.

Google announces MentalPlex(tm), the most amazing new web search technology. They even show illustrations on how to use it.

The financial gurus at The Motley Fool discover Shakespeare's portfolio.

The tech guys over at c|net review Notebooks under 12 ounces. Their editors' choice among these lightweight notebooks was, of course, the Pokemon Gotta Catch 'em All Theme Book.

Update April 3 - This just in. Apparently, Microsoft's campus was bombed over the weekend. This report at MSNBC is the only known news outlet to carry the story.
