Hollywood (NBp) - In the past twenty years, Clint Eastwood has had hit
movies, been nominated and won Oscars, and even been mayor of Carmel,
California. But, not since 1980's Any Which Way You Can has
Eastwood done a film with an orangutan.
Eastwood, who defined the "trucker with monkey" genre of movies
with Every Which Way But Loose is said to be considering a third
movie in the set, called Another Which Way We Do. Rumors have
also circulated about Eastwood doing a "cop with monkey" movie that would
resurrect his Dirty Harry character, but still include the lovable
orangutan. These rumors have largely been dismissed as "stupid".
"Ever since I got my pet orangutan, I've been trying to hook up with
Clint," explained aspiring Hollywood producer Ralph Municipal. "Lately,
I've been feeling particularly nostalgic about the early '80s. In fact,
I've got Men At Work playing in my car right now. I really want to make
Another Which Way We Do. Not because I really liked those other
movies, but because I have a pet orangutan and I haven't had a decent
job in 7 years."
Stewart Municipal, Ralph Municipal's brother, wrote the script
for Another Which Way We Do. "It's got this great line that
I just know is going to be the catch phrase of 2000. Clint
gets all steely-eyed and says, 'He's not a monkey, punk. He's an
orangutan.' Everyone's going to be saying it!"
