Florida (NBp) - After weeks of watching their album, Significant Other
come in second place behind the Backstreet Boys' Millenium, rockers
Limp Bizkit have announced a new name and a shift in style.
The reincarnated group, Limp Biscuit, is planning a new album,
Only My Love, for release later in the fall.
"OK, I admit it, they won," announced Fred Durst, lead singer of
Limp Biscuit. "I thought we were the thing and all, but BSB has sold
7 million copies of Millenium, and we've only sold 3 million copies
of Significant Other. BSB must be doing something right!"
In addition to the title track, the new Limp Biscuit album will
also include another cover of George Michael's song Faith. "Yeah.
This one will be truer to the original. We kinda turned down the
hardcore and turned up the pop up bit," explained Durst.
On the song "Girl, I'm Your Number One Man, You're My Number One
Fan", Limp Biscuit had tried to get fellow Floridians the Backstreet Boys to join
in on the song. They weren't able to because of a current concert tour.
Durst thinks that the song "Britney Spears" is a standout track and
could become a hit single. "At least it has name recognition!"
The revitalized Limp Biscuit is in for the long haul. They plan to
release the single "Summer Song (or, Why I Love You)" to coincide
with summer 2000, when all of the kids get out of school.
