Cupertino (NBp) - Though he is already considered by many to be quite a colorful character, Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder and interim CEO (iCEO, pronounced icky-O), has announced that he has taken steps to avoid being less interesting than his company's products.

"Though I've been calling myself the 'iCEO' of Apple for some time now, I have decided that I need to look the part," announced Jobs at a morning press conference. "I was Apple's first CEO. Now, just like our products, I am Apple's first insanely great CEO!"

Steve Jobs now comes in 7 translucent colors: grape, blueberry, tangerine, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and lime.

Using the latest in makeup and holographic technology, Jobs will now be making presentations sporting a colorful, translucent look. Jobs comes in the five iMac colors, plus two new colors: vanilla and chocolate. Apple has not commented on whether iMacs will be available in these colors as well.

Apple watcher Chris Theodore appreciated the new look, but had some reservations about the functionality. "Sure, the iCEO looks great and gives energetic presentations, but I had really been hoping for an iCEO with wireless networking."

It is not believed that the current iCEO is based upon a PowerPC architecture.

Other technology companies already appear to be following Apple's lead. HP has announced that it is licensing the technology to create the HP iCEO (pronounced Hip Icky-O). Microsoft is believed to be developing a competing technology called mCEO (pronounced Mickey-O). The mCEO is not believed to be compatible with any of the iCEOs.
