Detroit (NBp) - After Volkswagen's stellar success with the New Beetle, Ford has decided to revive the Edsel line.

The Edsel was originally released in the 1950s and sold just over 100,000 units during its three year run. Ford has much grander plans for the new line, hoping to take advantage of 20th Century nostalgia as we move into the 21st Century.

Edsel models include the Go-Cart, Sedan, Sport Coupe, Sport Utility Vehicle and Semi. The Edsel Go-Cart will be sold for just $699, making it less expensive than the original Edsel. However, the original Edsel weighed 10 times as much.

All of the year 2000 Edsel models feature have distinctive styling traits in common with the original.
