Washington, DC (NBp) - President Clinton's staff at the White House
has been given permission to show the new Star Wars movie in
the White House Screening Room. At 12:01AM on May 19th, President Clinton
will be able to watch the new movie in the privacy of the White House.
But what price did the President have to pay for this?
Insiders at Fox report that the President has to follow the same rules as
any other theater. The new Star Wars movie comes with more strings
attached than any movie which has come before. Here is a sampling of the
conditions:
- No screenings before 12:01AM, May 19
- Movie must stay on the same screen for 8 weeks
- Popcorn must be served lukewarm, in honor of Luke
Skywalker (who doesn't appear in this film)
With the White House Screening Room tied up with Star Wars
for eight weeks, one has to wonder what the President will do.
NBp will keep you posted as the story develops.
