All Over The US (NBp) - Fans of Star Wars were turned away as they tried to get their tickets to see Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Tickets went onsale at 3PM Eastern and were sold out ten seconds later.

"It's really to be expected," said Jay Hawkins, manager at the Fribozz theater in Spokane. "What with the friends and families of Lucas, people at Fox, theater owners, popcorn and soft drink companies, toy companies, people who worked on the movie, politicians, famous people in Hollywood and people who are just plain rich, no normal person can really plan on seeing this movie before July."

NBp has learned that the people who have waited in line at Mann's Chinese Theater in LA did, in fact, get tickets after waiting in line for a month. Though they were not famous when they started the line, they have gained enough publicity to warrant some tickets for the May 19th showings. One group who waited in line in Madison, Wisconsin was not so lucky.

"We started this line two weeks ago," reports John Butterball. "Since we were the only ones here, I thought for sure we'd get tickets! But 2 o'clock rolls around and they tell us they're sold out! Guess I'll just go home now..."
