Lame Self-Referential Article Appears on Website

Pressed for time and running up against a deadline, editors at a
certain website, which will remain nameless to protect the guilty,
were forced to post a lame article that contained no content whatsoever,
other than a couple paragraphs blasting its own lameness. Why someone
would post such a thing is beyond us.
Certainly, one would think there is enough going on in the world
that finding something to write about shouldn't be that hard. But
this particular article seems to imply that the only thing to write
about is the stuff getting written on that website. To raise
the credibility of the article, the authors even had the audacity
to post fake quotes.
"That article is truly lame," said Kofi Annan, UN Secretary General.
"Yeah," agreed US President Bill Clinton, "pass the fries."
After a while, the reader is left to wonder exactly how much of
that cruft the editors expected them to take. The article just seems
to go on and on with no end in sight, and still no content worthy
of the electrons it was printed on.
There was a glimmer of hope that something interesting would
happen following a boldface headline, but still nothing. At least,
at this point, the end was in sight.
